We are often asked by universities and other organisations to advertise research of interest to people with chronic pain, those who care about them, and/or healthcare professionals with an interest in pain. All such requests are considered by the Chronic Pain Australia research sub-committee to decide if a study is appropriate for the organisation to advertise.
The aim of this register is to create a list of people interested in being contacted about research that might be of interest to them. This would include only research that has university or other appropriate ethical approval. Only members of the research sub-committee of the Chronic Pain Australia Board of Management will have access to the register and will contact you.Your privacy will be maintained at all times. At no time will we provide access to the register or personal details to anyone outside the Chronic Pain Australia research sub-committee. Data will be stored on a password protected database that is only accessible to Chronic Pain Australia research sub-committee members. If we think a particular study may be of interest to you, a member of our research sub-committee will email you details of the study. It will then be entirely your choice if you decided to contact the researcher directly and/or participate in the research. You would deal directly with the researcher, who would answer any questions and provide other necessary information regarding the study.
By completing and submitting this form, you are confirming that you:
a) have read and understood the information on this form;
b) consent to the information provided on this form to be uploaded to the Chronic Pain Australia Research Participant Register; and
c) consent to being contacted about research that Chronic Pain Australia has been asked to promote.
You may request to have your name removed from the register at any time. Should you have any questions about the database, please feel free to email Dr Mandy Nielsen from the Chronic Pain Australia research sub-committee: email@example.com.
Thank you for your interest!
